Aspen Public Radio - Landscape Construction

Aspen Public Radio

CRA was brought in to accomplish the redesign of the KAJX, Aspen's National Public Radio affiliate, transmitter site located in on a mountain overlooking the resort community. Design work included selection of the prefabricated structure for minimal visual intrusion, providing landscape screening, and a significant amount of erosion control. More important, CRA work to clear up a permitting tangle of old leases and in-completed permit applications in order to receive County permission for the on-going use of the site, along with the new improvements. Work was completed in 2003, and the new facility is broadcasting to Aspen and surrounding communities.
