Muse Building

The Muse Building occupies the site of a former parking lot on the newly revitalized Hyman Avenue corridor in Aspen. Immediately adjacent to the Aspen Art Museum, this building provides new storefronts, office space, and penthouse residential development. Clauson Rawley Associates provided the land use planning that replaced a former development proposal with this project and the Art Museum site. CRA also pioneered the use of “Silva Cells” at this location. This technology for the planting of street trees provides considerably more growing soil and ensures the longevity of street tree plantings. Now a requirement of all downtown projects in the City of Aspen, CRA provided the design details that became the City standard. Architecture by IKE Kligerman Barkley.
