Basalt Historic Condo - Landscape Architecture

Basalt Historic Condo

The Brinks project is focused on the adaptive reuse of an historic commercial building located adjacent to downtown Basalt. The building has already been renovated as luxury condominiums, but a number of site issues remained unresolved, including the need for a garage, the building entry design, and use of the roof as a recreation amenity. CRA took the property through a historic building review process designed to provide permitting for these areas. Particular attention was devoted to design and permitting for a small rooftop conservatory that would provide access and support rooftop uses, including a hot tub, barbecue, and landscaping. Final approvals were granted by the Town of Basalt in the fall of 2004.
