Annabelle Inn

The Annabelle Inn, formerly The Christmas Inn, represents a complete redevelopment of a mid-priced lodging facility within Aspen's Main Street Historic District. The project involved maintaining the historic form of the original Christmas Inn while providing eight additional lodge rooms, three deed-restricted affordable housing units, and general improvements to the lobby facilities and grounds. Clauson Rawley Associates provided permit process representation for a Planned Unit Development (PUD) that allowed height and setback variances, while resolving neighborhood issues of views and parking. CRA also provided landscape design for the site and infrastructure improvements, including a unique sunken courtyard that has become the focal point of the lodge. The Annabelle Inn redevelopment was honored as "an outstanding lodge project within the Main Street Historic District" by the Historic Preservation Commission as part of their 2006 awards program.
