Caitlin Aceto, PLA, ASLA
Caitlin is a licensed landscape architect in the states of Colorado, Utah and Wyoming. Caitlin works for SCA as a contract landscape architect and is based in Portland, Maine where she is a principal with Aceto Landscape Architects. Her passion for art and design began in the Chicago area, where she was exposed to the architectural works of Frank Lloyd Wright and Olmsted's historic planned community of Riverside. Caitlin's project experience ranges in scale from detailed residential design in the Roaring Fork Valley, to circulation and wayfinding design at Grand Canyon National Park, to security barrier conceptualization for the Thomas Jefferson Memorial. Caitlin is interested in creating vibrant urban spaces that foster walkability, multimodal transportation, and a rich pedestrian experience. Recently Caitlin received certification from the Form Based Codes Institute for completion of the first course in a series focused around sustainable community planning. Caitlin brings a distilled clarity to design that strives to embody the contextual heritage, textural richness and cultural integrity of place. Caitlin's favorite quote is from William Wordsworth: "Let nature be your teacher."
